IN BRICK, NEW JERSEY - Two individuals, identified as 49-year-old Aimee Lonczak and 58-year-old Michele Nycz, were arrested on Friday evening for allegations of animal cruelty and child endangerment. The arrests followed an anonymous complaint regarding a potential puppy mill at a residence in Ocean County.
Upon arrival, officers discovered approximately 200 neglected animals within the house, with two dogs found deceased. The rescue operation required around ten hours to complete, during which the animals were transferred to various local shelters. A responding veterinarian also arranged for emergency veterinary care for at least eight animals.
In addition, a 16-year-old teenager, Lonczak's daughter, was found living in the house. The investigation is ongoing, with potential for additional charges to be filed. Both suspects are currently in custody and face charges of animal cruelty and child endangerment.
