"OpenAI Forms 'Frontier Alliance' With BCG, McKinsey, Accenture, Capgemini for AI Enterprise

Collaboration announced: OpenAI forms "Frontier Alliance" with BCG, McKinsey, Accenture, & Capgemini. Goal? Boost AI adoption in enterprises by integrating

Major AI company OpenAI has formed the "Frontier Alliance" with four global consulting giants - Boston Consulting Group (BCG), McKinsey, Accenture, and Capgemini - to boost enterprise adoption of its AI technology in 2026. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between AI and strategic business transformation by integrating OpenAI's enterprise-focused solutions into clients' tech stacks.

OpenAI launched its no-code open software, OpenAI Frontier, in early February, enabling users to create, deploy, and manage AI agents utilizing both OpenAI's AI models and third-party ones. The company believes that consultants are the key to driving enterprise adoption of AI, as it requires linkage with strategy, process redesign, and cultural alignment for sustained outcomes.

BCG CEO Christoph Schweizer emphasized in a blog post that "AI alone does not drive transformation; it must be linked to strategy, built into redesigned processes, and adopted at scale with aligned incentives and culture." The expanded partnership between BCG and OpenAI combines the latter's Frontier platform with BCG's extensive industry, functional, and tech expertise, as well as BCG X's build-and-scale capabilities to deliver measurable impact from day one.

Enterprise AI adoption has been modest so far due to the challenge of realizing a meaningful return on investment from AI initiatives. The TechCrunch Founder Summit 2026 offers an opportunity for founders and investors to learn from industry veterans, network with peers navigating similar growth stages, and walk away with actionable tactics for immediate application. Save up to $300 or 30% on registration before March 13.

In Boston, MA on March 13, 2026, over 1,000 founders and investors will gather for the TechCrunch Founder Summit, a day dedicated to growth, execution, and real-world scaling. Delegates can expect insight from industry shapers and an opportunity to network with peers navigating similar growth stages, with attendees walking away equipped with immediate application tactics. Early registration savings of up to $300 or 30% are available until March 13.

Meanwhile, OpenAI, a prominent AI company, is adopting a strategic alliance approach beyond merely promoting AI integration into existing workflows for enterprises. The focus instead lies on persuading companies to alter their strategies and workflows to incorporate OpenAI's tools where applicable. This strategy shift has been observed in the recent signing of deals with consulting giants such as Deloitte and Accenture by OpenAI's rival, Anthropic.

In a January blog post, OpenAI's Chief Financial Officer, Sarah Friar, highlighted enterprise as a key focus area for 2026. Already this year, OpenAI has secured significant AI deals with Snowflake and ServiceNow, in addition to appointing Barret Zoph to lead its enterprise sales effort in January.
