Tariffs on Smeaton's Products Jump From Zero to 30%, Then Fluctuate

"Smeaton's products hit by erratic US tariffs: Zero to 145%, then down to 20% and fluctuating. Latest increase to 15% announced on Saturday."

In an interview with BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Smeaton revealed that tariffs imposed by the IEEPA on his products rose dramatically from zero to 30% following Donald Trump's announcement in April. Subsequent increases brought the rates up to 100%, then 145%, and eventually settling at 30%. This rate was later reduced to 20%, but fluctuated significantly, dropping temporarily to zero for a few hours on Friday after the ruling before rising again to 10%. On Saturday, the tariff increased once more to 15%.
