In a development following the departure of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, President Donald Trump appointed Lindsey Halligan, a White House advisor and previous personal lawyer, to fill the vacancy. Halligan promptly obtained grand jury indictments against McCabe and also against ex-FBI director James Comey.
