International Rescue Effort Underway for Trapped Skiers Near Boreal Mountain Ski Resort
A group of skiers found themselves trapped near the closed Boreal Mountain Ski Resort due to inclement weather conditions. In response, the resort has mobilized rescue teams in an attempt to reach and assist the stranded individuals.
In addition, neighboring Tahoe Donner's Alder Creek Adventure Center has also dispatched rescue teams to aid in the operation. Some of these teams utilized snow-cats, specialized vehicles equipped with treads capable of navigating deep snow, primarily used for grooming ski runs but also capable of transporting people.
This collaboration aims to ensure the safety and timely evacuation of the affected skiers in the challenging winter conditions. More updates will follow as the situation develops.
